Bow Fishing
Springtime bow fishing is here and carp are schooling, cruising the
shallow waters looking for food and a place to spawn. I find they cruse
in schools in knee high water. In many areas of the Big Bear Lake
shoreline you can walk out 50 yards and still be in shallow enough water
to bow fish for carp.
Bow fishing is very easy and I just wade out about knee deep in my
waders and stand watching for carp cruising by. Once I spot a carp I
will wade into range and wait for schools, then shoot. Once you find the
path they are taking, you can stand shoot carp almost all day.

The Picture shows the very basics needed to bow fish.
1. Recurve bow or compound bow will work, 2. Bow fishing reel of some
type, 3. Waders give you more time in the water, 5 Stepladders will help
you see fish, 6 Carp.
