June& July Swell has been small most of the time to
launch and land, lets hope August swell is the same. Please check surf reports to know what swell size you'll be
launching in.

Lots of bait around now, getting brown baits inside kelp
on the surf zone side.
Barracuda are in Santa Monica Bay they are hit and miss.
Sand Bass & Calicos are on the chew along with White Sea bass if your
lucky to have a school of W.S.B. pass under your kayak, Halibut still
being pick up in the shallows and up to 80'.
At Nicholas Canyon going out to 80' lots of Pin-back
sharks almost un-fishable because of the sharks while fishing for
halibut.
